Clear labeling
Paid or brand-controlled material will be labeled using clear terms such as “Advertisement,” “Sponsored,” or “Sponsored Content.” The label will appear where readers are likely to notice it, including near the headline or beginning of the content.
Editorial control
RST may reject, edit, correct, update, or remove sponsored material. Sponsors may review factual references to their organizations, but they may not require misleading claims or disguise advertising as independent reporting.
Reviews and product samples
Payment, complimentary products, discounts, affiliate commissions, travel, access, and other material relationships will be disclosed. Compensation does not guarantee positive coverage. Reviews should reflect the honest experience and judgment of the named reviewer.
Community content
Contributors must disclose relevant brand relationships and conflicts of interest. RST may add disclosures, decline publication, or take corrective action when information is incomplete.
